When considering the design aspect of a website, it is essential that the strengths of a business are recognised. In My Vids circumstances this is of course their videos, so the first thing people visiting the site needed to see was a large example of one of their videos.

It was also important that the website did not overload on text on the homepage; it is better for those interested to be presented with easy to find links to the main text.

Through the website’s design all of their services are displayed on the front page in easy to view boxes. This simplistic feature makes it easy for the customer to browse, and reinforces West Property Management’s mantra.

Fetal Impressions provide mothers with a 3D model of their unborn baby through innovative technology; such a simple idea, which is mirrored in the simplicity of the website.

The Fetal Impressions website also employs colour to great effect, contrasting shades of grey and white with a bolder pink, bringing together ideas of womanhood and femininity with technology and advancement (ideas of futuristic technologies often involve the colours grey or silver).

Through its precise design this website marries technology and simplicity, making it easy for the customer to feel a part of the future.

Just looking at the images and the video makes me really want to pack up my bags and get on the next Qantas to Denpasar.

This site tries to capture the feeling and communicate that to prospective clients.

Although we rarely do logos (I prefer to leave that to professionals) on this occasion we did the deed and it is not to shabby in my humble opinion.

James wanted something a little out of the ordinary so the challenge was to deliver on that request even though James comes from an industry that must project stability and conservatism and the company logo certainly does that.

So the idea was to push the boundaries without delivering an obvious contrast and I think that has been admirably achieved on this one.

Once again, it is a test site so don’t get to worried about the meaningless text and images.

Justin’s site is in the early stages and has been placed in this gallery to show you what is possible for a very reasonable price.

There is lots of white space and a slick modern design to promote Justin and his services.

Obviously the images are only there temporarily and will change once local image are available.

I have included it here due to the fact that it shows how even a business that has a very conservative logo and image can still look modern when brought online.

The use of lots of white space and modern looking icons gives a real freshness to this site and brand. This is a personal favourite.
